Before You Buy:
Why aren’t your Craft Trimmers permanently fixed to the base?
Dahle craft rulers are not permanently fixed to the base to allow for increased design capabilities. You’re able to cut much larger sheets of paper by moving the ruler after each cut. Plus the trimmer becomes much more portable since it can be used on any size cutting mat.
What’s the difference between a 507 and a 507K?
The difference between the 507 and the 507k is that the 507k includes 3 decorative cutting heads(perf, wavy & deckle) and two cutting strips. These items separately retail for $49.95. The trimmers themselves are exactly the same.
What is the function of the cutting strips?
The cutting strips used in the 507k provide a flat self-healing surface for the blades of the decorative cutting heads to roll across.
Do you have decorative cutting heads for your larger cutters?
Currently our Craft Trimmers and Personal Rolling Trimmer model 507 are the only trimmers that have decorative cutting heads.
What’s the difference between your cutting mats and other manufacturers?
Vantage® cutting mats have self-healing capabilities made possible through 5 layers of PVC Plastics. It’s this specialized formation of plastic that allows cuts to just disappear— which greatly prolongs the life of the mat. Each Vantage® mat contains inch and metric measurements on the top surface as well as 1/2" grid lines, making Vantage® mats the perfect work surface for cutting, drawing and sewing. This mat can be used on both sides.
How clear is your crystal clear mat?
Dahle’s vantage crystal clear mat is the clearest in the industry. This mat is perfect to use for tracing or with a light box.

How do I change the cutting blades?
The blades can be changed by turning the lock at the end of the ruler and sliding the cutting head off the rail. The installation is the reverse. Additional cutting heads can be purchased separately.
I recently purchased a Trim Ruler. Can I use a scoring head on it?
Yes! All of the cutting heads on the Craft Trimmers are interchangeable. Individual cutting heads are sold separately.
I own a Dahle Personal Trimmer model 507, will the decorative cutting heads work on this trimmer?
This Personal Trimmer is exactly the same as the 507K. All you need to do is purchase the decorative cutting headset.
Will the decorative cutting heads work on my Personal Trimmer model 508?
Because the cutting strips are only available in one length, they will only fit the model 507.
Can my mat be used on both sides?
Yes! Even though there is only a grid on one-side, Dahle cutting mats can be used on both sides.
